The Show was a success! Thanks to our sponsors, all those who skated
and performed in the Show and to all our supporters who attended …. Nearly
600 people were in attendance ….and we raised $27,000.
The
DVD of Skate for the Cure ’05 is now available for purchase!
It has the entire Show along with some pre-Show footage and a montage
of the highlights. The DVD running time is approximately 2 hours.

to the online home of the first annual Skate For The Cure! Skate For The Cure
is a unique, riveting ice show held at the Rinks at Shelton in Shelton,
Connecticut. The show features an array of professional
internationally-acclaimed figure skaters as well as local aspiring
talents. All of the proceeds from the show will benefit the
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation,
the front runner in the search for a cure for juvenile diabetes.
More than 18
million Americans have been diagnosed with diabetes and 177 million people
worldwide. Another 5.2 million Americans are undiagnosed, living in even
greater risk. Almost 1.5 million people have juvenile diabetes, the most
severe form of the disease. This horrible disease kills one American every
three minutes and a new case is diagnosed every thirty seconds.
